Millie Rose - My Birthing Story

125 . Well...Millie Rose Howlett arrived! The little miss was born at 16:22 on Wednesday 14th June 2017 weighing a solid 8lbs exact! And my god what a quick arrival she made!! Let's start from the beginning shall we? So on the Monday I woke up at half past 5 in the morning with pains in my thighs, I wondered if they were the beginning of labour but I held off calling the hospital because they were bearable and didn't have any routine to them plus I was seeing the midwife that morning for my second sweep so I really hoped she was going to say that it was starting...she said the opposite! She said nothing was happening, I still had a very long way to go and I'd more than likely be induced as I was 8 days over by this point anyway. After that appointment the pains stopped so I was sat thinking GREAT (in a very sarcastic fed up tone) but then they started again that afternoon stronger than the morning but still bearable. I did get my mum to come to my house because we ...

Tales of the first trimester!

I 120 . It's 2017, I'm currently lied on the sofa watching Tipping Point whilst fighting an awful cold and a double ear infection. They say, start as you mean to go on but I do not want 12 months of illnesses thank you very much!!!  I haven't written in a long time so you have no idea what is going on in my life, well....IM PREGNANT, currently mid way through my 18th week. My belly is growing, I'm feeling flickers and I'm truly happy.  The first trimester was not fun!! I didn't suffer with morning sickness but I did suffer from a complete lack of appetite, so much so I almost lost a stone in weight. Weight that I haven't yet gained back. I'm quite enjoying seeing and being able to feel my cheek bones for the first time ever if I'm totally honest with you but I'm aware it will be short lived as the pounds will soon be piling on.  So you might read that and think 'you said it wasn't fun? What happened?' Well I'll tell ya! WA...

Strong or weak? You decide

16.  Hey, Hello, Hi, Yo my loves, thought I'd mix it up a little bit there, I hope you enjoyed that. I am currently sitting here listening to Alexisonfire's album Crisis, this album and Watch Out are my two faves of theirs. I was lucky enough to see Alexisonfire back in 2007 (I think it was 2007) in Nottingham, we got their while the support band was on and it was pretty busy but I somehow managed to get to the front directing across from Dallas Green, beautiful man - just saying! I screamed along to every song and was deaf for around two days so all in all it was pretty god damn epic!  I thought I would do a quick follow up from blog 14, I had just posted my first booklet off from my Dementia course and had my hospital appointment that day and I also was half way through a page from my colouring book *insert cute face because I feel daft writing that* and on a side note I just want to update you on my day last Friday, which was upsetting for me. Is that okay? I'll write...

Just a update on me myself and I

14. I just want to start off by saying I feel Sam Smith is a beautiful singer and song writer, his songs resonate with so many people just like Adele's 21 album. I love listening to his songs and singing a long to them, but I will never inflect that ear pain to you my loves. I just want to update you on things with me, what I've been up too etc.  First of all, I have completed my first booklet to my dementia course and posted it off to my assessor, I'm just waiting to see if there are many changes I have to make to my answers. I took my time getting started on it, I think I answered 12 questions out of 29 in the first two weeks, I have four weeks to complete the first book. So on Sunday 31st of August I put my head phones on blasted music from Paramore, A Day To Remember and Alexisonfire (very different music to what you all may know me to like, but I've love that style of music since I was 15) and got the book finished :) Fingers crossed for me please lovely'...
