Update on life: Friendships, Christmas, Dad and Scrabble

44.

My dear dear loves, its FOUR days till Christmas, I think this may be my last blog before Christmas, I'm undecided if it will be my last blog of December though, I think I'll write one more after this then that's me done for 2014!!

I am currently listening to McBusted, I bloody love this band!! I loved Busted back in the day then instantly fell in love with Mcfly when they rocked up so this combination is just awesome!! Rob won't take me to see them though and that makes me so so sad. Everyone go tell him he needs to take me to their tour please.

Anyway, fancy an update on my life? Yes you say? Well okay then...

I never updated you guys about my dizziness, after seeing the Neurologist and realising that although my brain is pretty simple it's actually perfectly fine and is not causing the dizziness. He did say that the theory on it being caused by strong lighting is a possibility but he couldn't say because he's not an eye specialist. After leaving there I thought that was me done and dusted but oh no I got a letter to see a eye specialist only to be told that, again, my eyes are perfectly fine. SO as this week marks a YEAR since the dizziness started I am still none the wiser to what the heck causes it. I'm obviously an odd bod who's body doesn't like lights and I will have continue down the path of dizziness until one day it stops. Can we all collectively at this point go URGH!!??!!

I'm still pretty obsessed with watching YouTube all the time. That's what I was doing before this and I imagine after a game of Scrabble that's what I'll continue to do. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to my life :)

This week two things lovely happened 1. I was invited to my friend's wedding next year which fills me with happiness because when exciting and amazing things are happening for people I care about it makes me happy, makes me realise just how amazing life is :D and 2. I had a fantastic catch up with another old friend who up until a few months ago we hadn't seen/spoke in about 3 years! How mental is that?? But it was great, I'm glad we can laugh about things now and I really hope we have more catch ups and fun times, because we had some belting times back in 2007 *chuckles* :D

I received TWO really lovely surprises this week too, the first was a donation on my Just Giving page from a complete stranger who must have read some of my previous blog posts and it was just amazing to see if I'm honest and the little message she left me on the page too was very nice to read. If you happen to be reading this, thank you x
The second lovely surprise was receiving a Christmas card/slip from my cousin, her partner and their little boy, who by the way looks absolutely adorable!! The card had a really kind supportive message on the back of it and it just means so much because it was unexpected yet very meaningful. Thank you xxx

All of the presents I have bought have been given out now, Rob has guessed most of his (I ain't happy). My Mum is going to Scotland for Christmas so I really hope she has a nice time and I hope it doesn't snow because I miss her too much when I know she's longer than 20 minutes away. Rob asked Dad today if he wanted him to stay with me on Christmas day when I go and see him and he told him to stay which was nice to hear :D I'm not going to lie my loves, it's going to be a difficult one...this will be the first time I will be spending some time with my Dad on Christmas day and to say it bluntly, more than likely the only Christmas I will spend with him which makes me happy because I'll be seeing him but it makes me incredibly sad also. It's going to be very bitter sweet but I'll enjoy it as much as I can my loves.

Anyway I'm off to play Scrabble.

Merry Christmas lovelies, have the best celebrations possible and cherish every moment of it. Eat as much chocolate as humanly possible and no arguing!!

Much love
Beth xxx

This may upset you...

50. Hello my loves. WOW we've made it to the fiftieth blog post, if you're reading this one and you've read all of the ones before, thank you for sticking with me and my public diary entries. If you are new to my posts then Hello and welcome to my life, my little world of, well, I'm not to sure...this. I'm listening and watching Sia - Elastic Heart, I absolutely love this song and I love the video! It's so incredibly powerful , I watch it without knowing what it is that is keeping me so drawn to it (maybe Shia's body...) but seriously please go and watch it, don't read the comments of the video if it's the first time you're watching it and let me know what you believe it is portraying. I won't tell you what I believe because I don't want my view to alter what you may initially feel.      I feel like it might be a good time to update you guys on my Dad. By the way, everything I write is solely my feelings and from my point of vie

In difficulty there is strength and laughter

53. Hello my loves... This may seem like a very strange time, some may think I shouldn't write at all right now but as I'm just sat here, waiting, I feel I should (plus I've been given permission from my sister Kellie and Rob) On Wednesday 4th February, which seems like a lifetime ago, I got a phone call to say things with Dad had took a turn and we all needed to get to the home as time was looking short. I can't explain the fear that was going through me. The panic was so strong I was physically shaking until i got to the home to see him.  I had no idea what to expect, what had happened or what was going to happen, I just had to go with it. I guess we all do when faced with these extremes.  I have to admit I was pretty shocked to see that once the sedation had worn off he was back to his smiley self, even dancing along to the music.  But we knew it was serious when they said he was now completely nill by mouth, no food, no liquid.  An influx of fa

Our story with MND so far..

6.  These are my feelings and my thoughts, no one else's, just mine. In June 2013 my Dad was dealt the card of Motor Neurone Disease, a horrible disease. MND attacks the central nervous system and causes muscles to weaken and waste away. People with MND have to struggle everyday with activities that wouldn't have affected them before. It can be different with each person but sadly the outcome is always the same, there are no survivors, only true fighters! There is no cure... In some cases of MND the person can also have Frontotemporal Dementia. A less common form of dementia but nevertheless devastating. My Dad also has this... I first realised that something wasn't quite right around January 2013, my dad and I were sat in a cafe and he couldn't open a folded lottery ticket my exact words to him were "can't you use for hands or something" his reply was "no, my hand has got really weak" I asked him to make a fist with his right han
